This TV Stinks!

Pros: The only positives about this TV and it's 61" counterpart are the great color and the large size.

Cons: The picture is grainy even when watching Blu Ray movies. If the signal is not High Def the TV doesn't like it at all and the picture is much like watching a VHS tape that was left in the sun. Samsung's customer service is terrible!

Summary: We bought this TV because we love our 2 year old Samsung DLP and we just wanted a bigger one, we were also excited about the LED lighting on this TV. It was a huge disappoinment! Samsung's customer service is terrible! They sent people out to try to fix it and they couldn't do anything to make it better. They suggested we try the 61" to see if that would have a better picture and it did not. Then they tried to tell us that you have to adjust the settings for each show we were watching. How ridiculous! Thank God we bought this piece of crap from Vanns.com beause Samsung was unwilling to take the TV back and wanted to charge us $300 for a box to return it to Vanns.Samsung said that if the TV fell with in their specs they didn't care if we liked it or not and wouldn't return it based on customer satisfaction. Also, we had the Sasung repair guys confirm that the TV does not process at 120hrtz like they say it does. Vanns was awesome and covered everything at no charge, we will definitely buy the replacement TV from them. Bottom line, buyer beware and buyer be sure because Samsung doesn't take care of it's customers.

Summary: I looked long and hard for a HDTV this size. Had the samsung hl67a750 for a month and couldn't be happier. My viewing distance is 13 to 14 feet, and this is perfect. I have an HD DVD now, which is OK, but plan on getting a Blue Ray. The sound is better than I originally thought, but still hooked up an external sound source, just for movies and concerts. Make sure you check out your viewing angle before purchase, side to side and height. It has to be placed at eye level for best viewing.

Summary: I have never posted a review about any product I have ever purchased, but after purchasing this TV, I was compelled to. The TV is very light, weighs less than 90 pounds. My 42" plasma weighs a lot more than this 67" DLP. The picture quality is absolutely spectacular. I had a 52" Mitsubishi DLP before I got this one, and there is no comparison, in terms of picture quality. Another great part about this TV, is that it has no issues with glare. My previous TV was almost impossible to watch during the day, as there was so much glare, it made it annoying. This TV is glare free, and that makes a huge difference. All in all, this TV is highly recommended, and the only thing I wish it had was a way to easily hook up my video camera in the front. However it is pretty easy to get to the side hookups to get things hooked up in no time.
There is nothing even close in terms of bang for your buck than this TV at under $2000!!!

Superb. beats everything else in its class!

Summary: The HL67A750 is replacing a Sony KDP65WS550 that I've had for three years that had some burn in and recently developed problem of shutting itself down and not coming back on for at least 24 hours. Other than the burn in I thought it had an excellent picture. Was I ever wrong. After using Avia 2 to set up the video, the picture, especially fed from my Toshiba HD-A30 is simply superb. I've got twice the tv I had, for 1/3 less.

I'd give it a 10 but nothing in this world is perfect. And the ports are on the wrong side!!!!

Summary: This is one sexy tv...even turned off. The huge size,slim-ness, black piano finish and the super cool central neon blue central "On" button, combine to create a very rich looking and feeling TV. Gorgeous! The remote is similarly excellent with great shape, feel,layout, and backlighting.

Turn this baby on and you're in for some real eye candy. The contrast and sharpness of regular hdtv broadcast is jaw-dropping. Movies at 1080p are just....Wow!

My previous TV was a 1998 60" Mitsubishi and I just couldn't live with a 50" Plasma or LCD--too small. But I wanted plasma or LCD picture quality, so I got this set instead. And let me say that it's darn close---only bigger.

Bought my Samsung at Best Buy with an Amazon pricematch. Still had to pay local taxes and delivery. What the heck, I wanted in NOW!

Great picture, terrific value for most buyers

Pros: 1. picture in HD is awesome
2. brightness makes a huge difference
3. non-HD picture is relatively good

Cons: 1. no frontal connections
2. right-side connections area awkward for some setups (including mine)
3. sound is mediocre, but not important when connected to home theater system

Missing features

Pros: Picture - screen - weight - low power

Cons: * Only one antenna input (I wanted over the air and cable).
* No parental control of entire TV just wimpy V-chip.
* No front input jacks.
* No "smart antenna" jack
