"Be Wary of Sprint with this Phone"
Pros: Design, 1.3 MP Camera, Free 64 mb Memory Card, Bluetooth
Cons: Lots of Bugs/Errors (New Phone for Sprint), Battery Life
Summary: I added this phone to my plan on the 29th, and it has been nothing but problems. Although i got the phone for free as a promotion, because it was extremely new it also came with a lot of bugs and imperfections.
Right off the bat the pcs vision services on the phone were inoperable. I called sprint tech support, probably for a total of 3 or 4 hours minimum who tried every possible thing over the phone to fix it, and didn't work. They referred me to go to my local sprint store, who further referred me back to customer service. I was finally able to get my phone replaced today, but am very unsatisfied. The sprint technicians were unable to even TRANSFER MY CONTACTS. Had to spend over an hour entering contacts off a piece of paper.
I would recommend that anyone getting this phone, hold off for a while until sprint works all the bugs out and is able to fully support it.
Now for a review of the phone, and not sprint's lousy tech support:
Sprint's phone itself is very nice, with the phone coming with a charger and 64 mb transflash card with minisd adapter. The design of the phone is perhaps the best part, being a classic razr look. The menus on the phone look nice, but are rather slow and sluggish, but not unusable. The phone also has an integrated 1.3 mp camera and video recorder. It takes decent pictures, but nothing comparable to a standalone camera. Supposedly the phone is able to work for high speed data access, but since i received a defective phone (many others have had this same problem, the sprint tech said), was not able to review this. It also has an integrated music player, in which you can load mp3s onto the memory card or download them from the sprint store for $2.50 a pop. The memory card is nice, but inconvienient to use as it is placed so you have to remove the battery to access it. Also, sprint includes bluetooth 1.2, but it is crippled and doesn't allow for data transfers. However, you can use headsets with no problem. Also, if you want to pc sync, you have to buy their software and cable, motorola phone tools.

I got this phone a few weeks ago (end of December) and i really like it! It took me some work to get it to work properly with Motorola Phone tools, but after updating the firmware on the phone & updating MPT I don't have any problem loading my own MP3's & ringtones. (which is why i wanted it)
My only gripe is with Sprint in general, which is that they need to add more towers and/or make it where your call transfers when switching from a Sprint tower to roaming instead of dropping the call.
But, agreed...the MiniSD card is in a very very inconvenient place being behind the battery. -
after reading this review...i have to agree! i love this phone but as it bein so new there are still many bugs....i am going to return this phone for the fusic and i hope i will not have as many problems with that one....i will most likely purchase another razr next year and by then...i hope i won't have any more problems!
