"Best Nextel phone yet!! WiDEN!!!!!!!!"
Pros: Clear voice quality, good battery life, stylish, great 18 bit color display, really loud speaker phone, WiDEN data ready, good camera, not bulky.
Cons: Nothing, I have not found anything wrong with this phone!
Summary: Nextel is getting better and better with the phones they offer. They used to offer nothing but bulky (But durable) phones for the construction worker and business users, but some of their new phones are meant for use day to day users. I love the fact that the i850 is set up for WiDEN!!! The speeds in my area are really fast and tethering is so much faster now.
The i850 is comparable in design to any Sanyo, Samsung, or even Moto GSM and CDMA phones. I get much better range and sound with Nextel then I did with US Cellular, Cingular, and Verizon phone.
In all I am so happy Nextel is getting stylish and powerful phones like this. Because there is more and more of use common users using Nextel then before. So it is nice to see we have a place with them.Updated
I wrote a review a while back for a Verizon phone. I did it because I (thought) Verizon was a good carrier. But this was because I had never tried Nextel before. So I did not know any better.
After using the new phone for a few days I ended my two year contract with them. After spending a year and a half with them.
I am now with Nextel and a million times happier. I am sorry to all of the loyal Nextel users. I did not know any better. I wish CNet would delete the Verizon review.
If anyone is thinking about going with Verizon, honestly reconsider. If you are with Nextel right now, then just stay with the better carrier.Updated
