It's been a long time since carburetors controlled the flow of fuel into the engines of new cars. Today, all new cars use some form of electronic fuel injection. How did this innovation come about? The introduction of computer chips into cars allowed for the kind of precision that fuel injectors needed to be really successful. Injection comes of age
Car technology has come a long way. Disc brakes replaced drums, electronic ignition replaced mechanical, and injection systems replaced carburetors.
