Digital photographers will appreciate that PhotoImpact now supports raw files in both the main application and the two bundled organizers. Plus, users can save images for mobile display on devices such as phones, PDAs, and the PlayStation Portable. For moviemakers, PhotoImpact will save GIF and PNG images complete with alpha channels. The program also has a slew of new templates for making custom DVD menus.

Ulead PhotoImpact 11's feature set should satisfy those who need strong Web-graphics tools and don't care about organizing media. But if you require an excellent image editor with superb organizational features, take a peek at the similarly priced Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.
