Microsoft offers Windows Vista security guide
On the same day that it wrapped up work on Windows Vista, Microsoft published the "Windows Vista Security Guide."
The online guide is meant for organizations planning to use Vista in a domain with Microsoft's Active Directory service. It provides instructions and recommendations that are designed to help strengthen the security of desktop and laptop computers running Vista in such a setup, Microsoft said.
"Not only does the guide provide you with effective security setting guidance, it also provides a reproducible method that you can use to apply the guidance to both test and production environments," according to Microsoft.
The Windows Vista Security Guide, published on Wednesday, is available online.
